MotoBajar (www.motobajar.com and the MotoBajar app) is a marketplace where riders and shops in Bangladesh buy and sell vehicles, parts and gear. This page explains what information we keep and why, in plain words.
What we collect
- Account: your name, email address, phone number and password (stored encrypted).
- What you post: ads, product listings, photos, product requests, reviews and messages.
- Orders: the delivery name, phone and address you type when ordering.
- Shop verification documents (trade licence, NID/TIN) if you submit them — stored privately, visible only to you and our review team.
- App notifications: a device token so we can send you push notifications.
How we use it
- To run the marketplace: showing your ads to buyers, delivering order requests to shops, and connecting buyers and sellers by phone, WhatsApp or chat.
- Your phone number appears on your ads and requests because that is how buyers reach you — that is the product working as intended.
- We never sell your personal data to anyone.
Sharing
- Public content (ads, shop pages, reviews, open requests) is visible to visitors by design. Everything else stays private. Data is hosted on trusted infrastructure providers (our server and database hosts).
Deleting your account
You can delete your account and all its data at any time from the account deletion page. Deletion is permanent: your ads, messages, favourites, requests and notifications are removed.
